Our client, whom we will refer to as Confidential Company, is searching for a dynamic and experienced sales leader to join their company in the HealthTech industry in the role of VP of Sales. The VP of Sales works closely with the President, serving as a key executive leader of sales operations and acting as a crucial link between various divisions within the company. The VP of Sales will be responsible will be responsible for the overall growth of the company’s health vertical, particularly in driving sales and expanding market presence. They will work closely with the President and strategic partners to set and achieve sales goals and objectives.

Essential functions

  • Strategize, Own and Target healthcare businesses to position the Confidential Company’s value proposition.
  • Build industry alliances and partnerships in relevant forums and effectively leverage them to create brand awareness and build new client relationships.
  • Bring in the industry/customer perspective to help augment solutions/differentiators.
  • Clearly identify marketing requirements and assist/guide in execution.
  • Track prospect, competitor, & client intelligence and accurate pipeline reporting
  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with the company's overall mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee all aspects of the organization's sales, to ensure the company achieves its financial and business objectives.
  • Develop and implement high quality, effective sales strategies in alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and implement a 3 to 5 year sales plan.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and other industry leaders.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, inspiring and motivating the sales team to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the organization's sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions, anticipating challenges and opportunities, and leading the company to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Represent the company to external audiences, including at industry events and conferences, serving as an ambassador for the organization and its values.
  • Leverage professional networks to develop business prospects and revenue opportunities.
  • Increases revenues and income.
  • Oversees sales development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
  • Performs other related duties to achieve the goals of the organization.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of the US healthcare industry and a clear understanding of the complex revenue cycle needs of the industry.
  • Must be familiar and networked with Urgent Care and Acute Care centers.
  • Must be familiar with cross-border company and management structures.
  • Must be well networked in healthcare industry circles.
  • Strong ethical and professional standards, with a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Education and Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of healthcare product/technology/service sales and management experience in medium to large complex deals, preferably in a national role, is required.
  • Demonstrated lead development and closing experience is required.
  • Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.com is required.
  • Experience with a start-up or early-stage organization is preferred.
  • Experience with an international organization preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in setting and achieving strategic business objectives, building and managing high-performing teams, and driving organizational change and growth.
